Instantaneous Informatization is admittably convenient. The parameters of this study, though, analyze the degree to which said innovation has affected American Society as a whole.

It is the consensus of this group (and of leading Information Technology scholars) that our society can no longer be bound by past "Industrial" boundaries.

A. Telecommunication evolution and the explosive growth of the Internet explain the birth of an American Information Society.

B. Information Society is not simply about technology--ECONOMY is affected.

C. Informatization is not easily "governable." Thus, an Information Society has certain social (POLITICAL) repercussions.

D. Informatization is easy to exploit. "MEDIA" has a new definition.
